Those who are close to me know about some of the tumult around me in the past 6 months. In various guises, I’ve been asked a number of times what I’ve been doing amidst the chaos? And in most cases I’ve made vague statements about my career and its direction (mostly about how I haven’t been sure about what I’m doing next).
So, in that chaotic period between October and late January, I was essentially meditating. I focused inward. I wasn’t interested so much in asking “where next, in my life?” — rather, I was interested in knowing more about “where, exactly or approximately, am I?” and the inevitable “who am I?” type questions. I evaluated (or re-evaluated) just about every aspect of my existence, to gain a better understanding of who I am and whom I want to be.
One of the most important things that I have discovered about myself is my passion, as I’ve indicated in my previous post. So, what’s next? Professionally, at least, my next job will be along the lines of pursuing my passion for empowerment. The types of employment opportunities that I am pursuing are generally themed around empowerment.
I will also be launching a new website focused on what I’ve learned (and am continuing to learn) about customer loyalty and the customer experience.
My personal blog, the one you’re reading, will continue to have posts about my personal and technological learnings and adventures. The new blog will be focused exclusively on exploring the customer experience. I hope to make the concept clearer in the next few weeks.
All in all, this is an exciting time for me. I feel focused on what I want to achieve in my life, and I’m taking real steps toward those goals.
